Welcome to Coruisk House – our home in the fishing village of Elgol on the spectacularly beautiful Isle of Skye. We are open from 1 March to 31 October every year. Since 2011 we have been turning our croft house home into a small, intimate and boutique restaurant with rooms on the wild side of Skye. Our en-suite rooms in the old croft house, Coruisk House, offer chic and cosy accommodation and our suites in The Steading next door offer luxurious accommodation – all with an antique chair or two and a few little luxuries to please the eye and comfort body and soul. With the Cuillin, the walk to Camasunary, boat trips to Loch Coruisk and the Small Isles of Rum and Canna, and climbing Bla Bheinn on our doorstep….. we are ideally suited for couples looking to walk, climb, explore and experience this beautiful part of the island. Return to an oasis of comfort, a warm welcome and excellent food at the end of the day…..
Please do email us or use the ‘contact us’ form if you would like to ask us any questions. We are here to help you have a wonderful holiday on Skye.
Weddings and elopements have become very popular at Coruisk House. We are delighted to offer Coruisk House as an ideal venue for small, intimate weddings and ‘elopements’ (maximum 12 diners). For groups of ten or more diners we ask that all of our rooms are reserved by the group for the evening of the dinner reservation. For groups of six or eight diners we ask that two or three of our rooms respectively are reserved by the group for the evening of the dinner reservation. Please contact us for details and we look forward to welcoming you in 2020!
Coruisk House is in Elgol, 13 miles along a twisty single track road from Broadford and just over a mile back from Elgol harbour with its amazing and iconic view towards the Cuillin ridge over Loch Scavaig. Our location offers the most stunning and majestic scenery on Skye. Elgol is the starting point for a host of spectacular walks and climbs away from the madding crowds; or for boat trips to explore the mountains and islands; or to watch the teeming wildlife – seals, dolphins, basking sharks, eagles, puffins, deer or otters; or perhaps simply to enjoy the tranquillity and romance of ‘the finest view in Britain’. It is the starting point for a truly relaxing, refreshing, and rewarding time.
We are open by advance reservation (24 hours minimum for both the restaurant and the rooms) from 1 March 2020. We look forward to hearing from you and to welcoming you to Coruisk House.
