Our room rate from 30 December 2016 to 19 October 2017 including breakfast and afternoon tea is set out below. The room tariff does not include the cost of dinner. Please note the that the price is per room and not per person. There is a maximum occupancy of two people per room. There is a discount for stays of two nights or more. A minimum stay of two nights (Saturday and Sunday nights) applies to all reservations over weekends in May, June, July and August, although it is always worth contacting us to see if we have a space for a single night over a weekend. The cream iron bed bedroom has a low ceiling (5 feet and five inches in height) between the room and the en-suite shower room and is therefore not suitable for guests with restricted mobility.

We are sorry but we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 12 years in the rooms.
We are sorry but we are not able to accommodate pets.
Our labrador dog lives in the house and will have access to some of the common areas of the house (the conservatory and dining room) when guests are not in the house during the day.
RESTAURANT RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION TERMS
The restaurant is open by advance reservation only from from 7 pm until 9 pm from 30 December 2016 until 19 October 2017. Reservations at least 24 hours in advance are essential. We are a small family run restaurant, all dishes are cooked to order and we seek to provide the highest standard of food and service for our restaurant guests. We bring guests into our restaurant at allotted times in order to be able to optimise the preparation of our dishes and our standards of service. While we endeavour to serve all of our restaurant guests promptly, guests who arrive late for their table reservation may experience a delay in their service. This is to allow us to serve promptly restaurant guests who arrive on time for their reservations. We are sorry but we are usually unable to change the time of advance table reservations. Debit or credit card details given by telephone (long number, expiry date and CVV code) are required for restaurant reservations and a charge of £30 per person is made to the card in the event of a cancellation with less than 24 hours notice or a non-arrival of any or all of the number of diners booked for the table reservation. Please so not send card details by email. We do not accept receipt of card details by email and you will not have a reservation unless the card details are given by telephone. The submission of an Enquiry Form through our website does not constitute a reservation but simply an enquiry and a copy of an Enquiry Form submitted is not a confirmation of a restaurant reservation. A restaurant reservation is made on receipt of an email from us confirming receipt of card details. the date and time of the table reservation and the number of diners.
RESTAURANT SERVICE CHARGE
The prices on our restaurant menus are exclusive of a service charge and the payment of a service charge is at the discretion of our customers. For groups of four diners or more, a discretionary service charge of 12.5% is added to the bill.
ROOM RESERVATION TERMS
We take debit or credit card details by telephone (long number, expiry date and CVV code). Please do not send card details by email as it is not secure to do so and we cannot accept card details sent by email. Using the card details provided by telephone, we process a deposit equal to the cost of the first night’s accommodation to secure a reservation of a room and before confirming a reservation by email. For stays of five nights or more, we ask for advance payment of the accommodation in full before the date of arrival with the balance of half the cost of the accommodation to be paid 28 days before the date of the arrival and the remaining balance to be paid 7 days before the date of arrival.
The completion and submission of the Enquiry Form on our website does not constitute a reservation. Following submission of an Enquiry Form you will receive a copy of your completed Enquiry Form by email showing your request. Again the email enclosing the completed Enquiry Form does not constitute a reservation and acts simply as a record of your enquiry and request. A reservation is only complete following our receipt of valid card details, our processing of the deposit using those card details, and on your receipt of our email confirming your reservation.
ROOM CANCELLATION TERMS
In the event you cancel a room reservation with more than 60 days’ notice before your date of arrival, we will refund your deposit, less a £10 administration fee. If you give 60 days notice or less than 60 days notice and more than 28 days notice before your date of arrival of a room cancellation, we will retain the deposit. If you give 28 days notice or less than 28 days notice before your date of arrival of a room cancellation, half the amount of the room tariff for all the nights reserved is due and payable. For cancellations where 7 days or less notice is given and/or in the event that guests do not arrive on the date of their reservation, the total amount of the room tariff for all the nights that have been reserved is due and payable. We advise all our guests to take out travel insurance to cover a late cancellation fee. In the event that the deposit is refunded, there is a £10 transaction fee which we deduct from the sum refunded. Late cancellation fees are charged to the card, details of which are provided to us to secure a reservation.
CHECK IN TIME FOR ROOM RESERVATIONS
The house and your room will be available to you on the day of your arrival from 4pm. We would ask that house guests do not arrive before 4 pm as unfortunately we will not be able to welcome you in to Coruisk House before 4 pm on the date of arrival. As our busy evening restaurant service may prevent our being able to welcome you as fully as we would wish, please let us know if you are likely to arrive after 6pm. The latest time available for check-in is 11 pm and only by prior arrangement. We ask you to vacate your room on the morning of your departure by 10.30am.
BREAKFAST FOR HOUSE GUESTS
A cooked and continental breakfast is served between 8.30am and 9.30am. In the event that you wish to have an earlier breakfast we are happy to lay out a continental breakfast for you but unfortunately we will be unable to serve you ourselves in most instances before 8.30am.
We take most usual debit and credit cards except American Express. Please check in advance if in doubt. We charge a surcharge of 2% for all payments made by credit card.
DAMAGE AND ITEMS REMOVED FROM THE ROOMS AND HOUSE
We reserve the right to charge for damage and breakages to any items in the rooms and the house, and/or for any items removed from the rooms and the house. The amount charged in all cases will be the full replacement cost of the item or items damaged or removed, and the relevant sum will be charged to the credit or debit card used to secure the reservation of the guest (or guests) involved in the item’s damage or removal, whether or not the guest (or guests) involved in the item’s damage or removal is the card holder for the card details given to secure the relevant reservation. Damage for which payment will be taken in the term set out above is not limited to but includes heavy soiling of sheets, towels and bathrobes and stains and soiling of or on any items of furniture, soft furnishings, linens, rugs, drapes, blinds and/or carpets in any of the rooms in the house. We reserve the right to charge additional costs of cleaning items and furnishings where soiling as set out above has been caused by a guest and again the relevant sum will be charged to the credit or debit card given to secure the reservation.
NO SMOKING POLICY
In accordance with legal requirements no guest may smoke in any of the rooms in the house. Our no smoking policy applies to all cigarettes (including but not limited to, electronic cigarettes). Any house guest who smokes in any of the rooms in the house will be charged an additional £200 (for additional cleaning) which will be charged to the card given to secure a reservation, and will be asked to leave immediately. The £200 sum and the total cost of any booking made in relation to the guest involved will be immediately due and payable and will be charged to the card given to secure the reservation, whether or not the guest acting in breach of the no smoking policy is the card holder of the card given to secure the relevant reservation.
NO GUEST LAUNDRY SERVICE AT CORUISK HOUSE
Unfortunately we are not able to offer a laundry service for guests’ clothes. There are public launderettes in Portree and Broadford.
We are sorry but unfortunately our guest rooms are not suitable for pets and we are unable to accommodate them. If you would like to contact us for information, some of the self-catering accommodation in Elgol is available for guests wishing to bring dogs with them and we would be happy to provide the relevant contact details. Unfortunately we are also usually unable to accept dogs in the restaurant unless the dog is a guide dog for the blind.
Guests are asked to take care of all possessions as unfortunately we are unable to accept liability for any items removed from the rooms and/or the house without the owner’s consent.
Any guest who is abusive to staff or who causes a public nuisance or who behaves in a manner which adversely effects the enjoyment of other guests will be asked to leave immediately. The total cost of any room reservations made in relation to the guest involved in the nuisance behaviour will be immediately due and payable and will be charged to the card given to secure the room, whether or not the guest involved in the nuisance behaviour is the card holder of the card given to secure the room.

We make every effort to ensure that wi-fi, television and other similar technological facilities are available to you if desired, but our remote location is such that these cannot always be guaranteed. There is no mobile signal in Elgol and on the Strathaird peninsula.
We are sorry but as both our rooms are located on the first floor of Coruisk House they cannot be accessed by people who are unable to climb stairs and may be unsuitable for those with mobility difficulties. Please do contact us if you are unsure as to whether our accommodation is suitable for your requirements.
This contract and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Parties to this contract irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims)
